My heart of glass
I held it out to you
I took a risk
I let go
But you didn't catch it
It fell
I watched as it shattered upon the floor
Little pieces sparkling sadly
Like the tear running down my cheek
My world shattered
A mirror reflection of all that I was
A reflection of what is no more
The shards sliced at my skin
As I tried to put them back together
But I fumbled as tears blurred my vision
Blood mixed with the pieces
But they wouldn't go back together
And some of them couldn't be found
It was cold
And empty
I couldn't put the pieces back together
I didn't understand
I faded away
My heart of glass
I held it out to you
But you let it fall
And now I am no more

I need a hug...
I was very down when I wrote this, and it just kinda jumped from my pencil. I didn't plan this out like the other one, so... please.... be gentle?  I'm not a poet, and I've never really done poetry, I just found out recently it's a good way to vent! ^_^ Tell me if it sucks! ^^ And any advice would be great, whether it's grammer or whatever... |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
